History- Proteus grew up with a happy life though he was sad at the lose of his mother who was a teacher herself. It was the memory of his mother’s love of teaching that encouraged him to go into teaching. He became friends with John Ralf during their time as student Teachers. Afterward he decided that if he was going to teach it would be as a professor with a Doctorate. He didn’t want to be around those students. They were so strong going on like they did, but as he continued to look at these students he saw how broken they all seemed. He couldn’t be around these vulnerable children. Not being able to help them the way they needed is what made him pull away from his teaching.
Personality- Proteus before the shooting was an ideologist when it came to education. He wanted to make the world of Education exciting and accessible to all. After the shooting Proteus decided that it was best for him to not be involved with the education of young students. He decided to go back to school and get his Doctorate in English.
Family- Proteus comes from a loving family. His Mother died when he was a teenager.
