Charlotte La Bouff profile

History- Charlotte grew up a very happy sweet girl.  Her father was the police chief for most of her life and later became the Mayor.  Before the shooting, Charlotte was the naive perky girl that everyone simply had to smile at when they saw her.  That was one reason she always wanted to be a cheer leader. She was able to talk her dad into letting her have as many dance lessons as she wanted and she loved every minute of it.

(During the Shooting)  Charlotte was walking down the hall with her bag of books excited to get to class.  She wasn’t the best student, but she still liked school.  When Charlotte heard the first shoots being fired she immediately dropped to the ground like her father had always told her.  She found a corner next to some lockers and balled herself up as small as she could get.  As the gun shots grew closer, tears began streaming down her cheeks as she tried to keep herself as hidden.  Finally a pair of combat boots came into view.  She looked up slowly, the tears still streaming over her face as an older blond boy, she had seen around school, appear before her. She stuffed her fist in her mouth to muffle her whimper.  A girl ran by trying to get away.  He shot her in the back and the girl went down, bleeding out.  She wanted to go over to the girl and help her, but the boy with the gun stepped forward, watching her bleed to death before walking over the dead body, continuing on his way.

(after) Charlotte continued on with her schooling much like she had been before.  She didn’t want her father to worry so when he asked her to, she went to see a psychiatrist, which did help her some.  Though, in general, she became much more paranoid then she was before.

Charlotte continued dancing and when the position for head cheerleader came up she knew that she wouldn't have the time with all the dance classes she was taking. She decided years ago that she wanted to go to Julliard school of dance.

Personality- Charlotte before the shooting was excessively perky and sweet.  She was always smiling and happy especially the day of the shooting because she had been made a cheerleader. She was also known for listening to really bouncy pop music.  

After the shooting Charlotte continued with her perky attitude at first mostly for her fathers sake not wanting him to worry about her.  However he still worried about her and asked her to go to a therapist so she would have someone she felt safe talking to.  After a time in counseling she began to get the glow she once had back.  While she did become happy again she continued becoming paranoid and began listening to loud rock music that most would consider very angry music.  Her paranoia wasn’t easy to spot by most people.  The main thing she did was always insist on being in corners were she would be able to see everyone and all the entrances and exits.

Family-  Charlott's mother died when she was 3, so she was raised all her life by her father.  He became chief of police when she was 10 and continued on to be made Mayor when she was 17.
