Dean Thompson profile

History- Dean grew up in a rather normal home.  Both his parents were writers but his mother died when he was 10 so it was just him and his dad.  He decided that he wanted to be like his mother.  He committed himself to becoming a great writer.  He spent all his time writing all kinds of things, short stories, poetry he even wrote a short novel.  Though he would later burn it because of how badly he felt it was written.  When he entered high school he instantly fell in love with a shy girl from his class.  Her name was Jessica and she had the most beautiful long red hair he had ever seen.  Because he was a loner he could never get his courage up to ask her out.  On the day of the shooting he was watching her read in the library.  He wrote about her in poetry.  At one time he thought of slipping the poems into her locker as a secret admirer.


That was as far as he got writing that poem before he heard the first shots from the hall ways.  Jessica had just left to her class, Dean panicked.  He ran to the door and carefully looked out the window.  He saw the man with the gun walk by before he opened the door.  There was Jessica lying on the ground in her own blood.  His eyes widened.  She was loosing consciousness. He pulled her into the library and began applying pressure to the wound. While he held one hand in place he pulled out his cell phone and called 911.  He cried into the phone with the operator telling them she was hurt and they needed help.  Luckily emergency vehicles were already in root to the school and Jessica was saved.

After the shooting Dean backed away from everything.  He couldn’t bring himself to go near Jessica after that.  He saw the pain she was in and he couldn’t bare to take the chance of causing her more pain.

So Dean threw himself into his writing.  He began writing a book about what the day of the shooting, and the aftermath of it all.  He wrote his observations of others, never using their real names, he wrote about the tragedies and the changes in personalities.  He wrote it all down.  And the day after is graduation he published his first book about the event that changed his and many others lives.

After that book he began writing fiction books and became a well know best selling author.  While he never pursued Jessica, he did keep track of her.  He saw every movie she was ever in and he read every thing that people wrote about her.  He did continued writing poetry about her keeping all of those writing to himself and never put any of those on his computer in case of hackers.

Personality- Dean remained the quiet loner that he had been before the shooting but while before he would have considered taking more chances after ward he was unwilling to subject himself and others to any potential pain.  He has never had a lasting real relationship because of these fears.


Family-  Dean’s mother died when he was ten and he father died when he turned 19 after watching his son become a published author.
